Bible + Yield = Byble in property developer Dylan DaSilva’s rebrand of the Good Book. The Y in “Yield” plays a pivotal part of the redesign. According to the Byble website: “We’ve meticulously preserved the Bible’s authentic text and paired it with ‘Yield’ moments—large-print excerpts designed for pause, reflection, and surrender.”
DaSilva himself was inspired by the Bible, but he could see declining faith all around him. It occurred to him that the Bible could perhaps use a glow-up and maybe become more appealing to modern consumers. He used common publication design techniques to create a very different book, one that is not so text-heavy, with callouts, modern typefaces, and color.
“We live in a consumer-driven world obsessed with aesthetics… so why not consume the greatest book ever written in the most aesthetic way possible?” DaSilva writes.
