Wessington BFF

Web Design

WessingtonBFF is a local charity closely linked with Wessington Primary School. The brief was to create a fun, approachable, and child-focused website that reflected the charity’s connection to early years education and family support. The design needed to feel welcoming for parents while still capturing the playful energy of a school community.

Project Features & Functionality

The website was built using WordPress and is fully responsive across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.

Key features include:

  • A colourful, child-friendly aesthetic using soft illustrations and rounded edges
  • Simple navigation tailored for all users, including parents with limited tech experience
  • Events and news section for updates
  • Custom contact forms to streamline communication between the charity and school

Live Preview & Outcome

View the full site: www.wessingtonbff.org.uk
The finished site is easy to use, visually engaging, and completely aligns with the charity’s personality. It’s helped the group present a more professional and organised face to families and supporters, while remaining true to its roots in the primary school community.

Work Process

Strategy led design in every detailed process

image

In this initial phase, the designer meets with the client to understand their vision, goals, and specific requirements for the project. This may include discussing the target audience, brand identity, and any existing design preferences. Clear communication and active listening are key to ensuring a thorough understanding of the client’s needs.

Armed with the insights gathered during the consultation, the designer begins the creative process. This stage involves brainstorming, sketching, and conceptualizing various design ideas. These ideas are then refined and presented to the client for feedback and approval. This iterative process ensures that the final design aligns with the client’s expectations.

Once the design concept is approved, the designer moves into the development phase. This involves translating the chosen concept into a finalised, polished design. Depending on the project, this could include creating digital assets, refining layouts, and fine-tuning details. For web design projects, this step may also involve coding and development work.

With the design fully developed and refined, the final step is to present the completed project to the client. This includes delivering all necessary files and assets in the required formats. The designer will also provide any additional support or revisions as needed to ensure the client is satisfied with the end result. This phase marks the successful conclusion of the custom project.
